All paintings are done in oil on gallery wrapped canvas with painted edges, ready to hang.
If a price is not shown it is because I generally do not offer that size for that number of pets. There may be exceptions such as two small pets on an 18 X 18. Please ask if you have a special request.
• Due to the broad, expressive strokes and painterly style of my work, the minimum size I offer is 16 X 16. I'm happy to do larger sizes than what is shown on my list above — please contact me and we can discuss pricing.
• Prices do not include taxes and shipping. Tax is collected only for delivery to clients in Maryland.
• To get started, I'll need a signed contract and a 50% deposit which will reserve a place for you on my commission list.
• Normally I omit or do only an impression of a background but if you have a specific background that you would like to incorporate into the painting I'm happy to talk to you about it and how it may affect the cost.
Choosing a Size
I can paint any pet but for purposes of choosing a size, I am using a dog as an example.

16 X 16, 16 X 20 and 18 X 18 are perfect for a close-up of a face and chest or a full image of a small dog.
20 X 20 and 20 X 24 are great for a full image of medium and large dogs or face and chest portrait of a larger breed. Both are suitable for adding another pet.
20 X 30 and larger are also great for large breeds, full images and additional pets.

Turn-around Time
Generally speaking, it takes 4 - 6 weeks for me to complete your portrait and for it to dry. Oils take time to dry, especially during humid months. The timeframe varies according to my schedule at the time. Thinking of holiday gifts? Great! But please know that I am usually booked by October for the holiday season.

Gift Certificates
If a date is too soon for a commission to be completed or if you’d like the recipient to choose the photo themselves, gift certificates are a great alternative. Gift certificates are offered either electronically or printed and delivered. Certificates are non-refundable and are valid for two years from the purchase date. Redemption of gift certificates will be based on the current price list at the time the painting is commenced. I will add the client to my commission list when they are ready to redeem the certificate.

Framing
My paintings are done on gallery wrap, 1 1/2” deep canvas with painted edges and are ready to hang. However, framing does add a beautiful finish to the work and many of my clients choose the option to frame. If you wish to have your painting framed, I have access to several framers and will give you an estimate of costs.

Shipping
Shipping is by UPS. In the event of a damaged painting, please take pictures of the damaged package and painting and email them to me immediately. Deliveries are insured up to the value of the commission so any damage in transit can be compensated for/refunded for the cost of the painting or I will redo the artwork at no cost to you. My commission schedule will dictate the time required to complete a new painting but I will make every effort to redo the portrait as quickly as possible.
