1. A non-refundable 50% of total price ($________) is due to the Artist upon the signing of this contract. The remaining 50% ($_________), plus tax (collected for delivery in the state of MD), shipping and handling if applicable, will be due upon the Client’s acceptance of the completed painting.
2. High resolution photos in sharp focus with good lighting and detail will be provided by the Client. Normally a minimum of six photos is required to be submitted but there are exceptions, to be determined by the Artist. If none of the photos are deemed high enough quality to work from by the Artist, the Artist will request additional images. The Artist will take photos of your pet for an additional fee.
3. The chosen photo to work from will be discussed between the Client and Artist before work is begun.
4. The artwork will be done in oil on gallery wrap (1 1/2” deep) canvas with painted edges and ready to hang. For an additional cost, the Artist will frame your painting (but is not essential).
5. Delivery options: Client may pick up, the Artist may deliver within a radius of 10 miles, or your painting can be shipped by UPS. The Client assumes all expenses for shipping which will be included with the final payment.
* Client represents and warrants that Client owns the Submitted Work (photos), and the right to sub-license, to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publicly perform and publicly display such Submitted Work.
* Copyright: The Artist owns all copyrights to the work (painting). The ownership of a work does not give the possessor of that work its copyright or any interest in the copyright. The copyright remains in the possession of the Artist as the underlying artist’s copyright. The Artist may reproduce the work in copies, use the work for marketing purposes and produce derivative work based on the painting. Any of the copyright owner’s (Artist’s) exclusive rights or any subdivision of those rights is not valid unless that transfer is in writing and signed by the owner (the Artist) of the copyright.
